A quiz competition was organised for the students of Classes VI to VIII in the school library to enhance their awareness of important national events and personalities associated with the month of August.
The quiz covered topics such as Quit India Movement, Kargil Vijay Diwas, Independence Day, and Author of the Month. The competition was conducted in eight rounds. Unlike conventional quizzes, no multiple-choice questions were included. Students were asked one-word answer questions, which encouraged quick recall, focused thinking and active participation.
Students participated enthusiastically and displayed good knowledge of the topics. After all eight rounds, Class VI-A emerged as the winner of the quiz.
Outcome:
The activity enhanced students’ knowledge of India’s national events and literary personalities, improved their general awareness, quick thinking and confidence, and promoted healthy competitive spirit among students.
