                                             ACTIVITY :IDIOMS /PHRASES

An Idioms & Phrases Activity was conducted for students as part of PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week. Students learned the meanings and correct usage of common idioms and phrases through interactive exercises, discussions, and sentence-making activities. They enthusiastically participated and demonstrated creativity in using the expressions in everyday situations.

The activity enriched students' vocabulary, improved language comprehension, and enhanced their communication skills. It also encouraged reading, critical thinking, and confident expression in English. The activity was highly engaging, informative, and successfully achieved its learning objectives.

ACTIVITY:CREATIVE WRITING (IV-VIII)

A Creative Writing Activity was organized under PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week to encourage students to express their ideas and imagination through writing. Students participated enthusiastically by writing short stories, poems, paragraphs, and descriptive pieces on various themes.

The activity enhanced students' creativity, vocabulary, writing skills, and confidence in expressing their thoughts. It also promoted reading habits, critical thinking, and effective communication. The activity was engaging, enjoyable, and successfully met its learning objectives.

ACTIVITY:SPELL BEE(I-III)

A Spell Bee Activity was conducted under PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week to enhance students' spelling, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills. Students from different classes participated enthusiastically and confidently spelled a variety of words in a fun and interactive environment.

The activity improved students' language proficiency, listening skills, and self-confidence while encouraging regular reading and vocabulary building. It was engaging, educational, and successfully achieved its objective of promoting English language learning.

ACTIVITY : DRAW ILLUSTRATIONS FOR YOUR FAVOURITE STORY(V-VIII)

The "Draw Illustration for Your Favourite Story" activity was successfully conducted for the students of Classes V to VIII under the PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week. The activity aimed to promote reading habits while encouraging students to express their understanding of stories through creative illustrations.

Students selected their favourite stories from books they had read and beautifully illustrated memorable scenes using colours and artistic skills. They also mentioned the story title and the moral/message of the story. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students displaying creativity, imagination, and a deep understanding of the stories they had read.

The activity effectively enhanced students' reading interest, comprehension, visual expression, and appreciation of literature. It also fostered creativity, confidence, and a love for books, making the Reading Promotion Week both enjoyable and meaningful.

Outcome: Students demonstrated improved reading comprehension, creative thinking, artistic expression, and storytelling skills. The activity successfully inspired students to read more books and develop a lifelong interest in reading.

ACTIVITY:READING COMPREHENSION (I-V)

The Reading Comprehension Activity was successfully conducted for the students of Classes III to V under the PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week. The objective of the activity was to strengthen students' reading comprehension, vocabulary, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Students were provided with age-appropriate reading passages followed by comprehension-based questions. They carefully read the passages, identified key ideas, inferred meanings, and answered the questions independently. The activity encouraged attentive reading and helped students improve their understanding of the text.

The students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated good reading habits, comprehension abilities, and confidence in answering questions based on the passages. The activity also enhanced their concentration, language skills, and ability to interpret information effectively.

Outcome: The activity improved students' reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. It successfully encouraged students to read with understanding and developed a greater interest in reading as part of the PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week.

 READING PROMOTION WEEK-2

  ACTIVITY-SYNONYMS /ANTONYMS

The Synonyms and Antonyms Activity was successfully conducted for the students of Classes III to VIII under the PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week. The primary objective of the activity was to enrich students' vocabulary, improve language proficiency, and strengthen their reading and writing skills.

Students participated enthusiastically by identifying synonyms (words with similar meanings) and antonyms (words with opposite meanings) through worksheets, word games, and interactive classroom activities. They worked individually as well as in groups to enhance their understanding of word meanings and their correct usage in sentences.

The activity created a joyful learning environment and encouraged students to explore new words, thereby improving their communication skills and confidence in using English effectively. Students displayed keen interest and actively participated throughout the session.

Outcome: The activity significantly enhanced students' vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, and sentence formation skills. It promoted critical thinking, improved language fluency, and motivated students to develop the habit of learning new words through regular reading. The activity successfully supported the objectives of PM SHRI Reading Promotion Week by fostering a love for reading and language learning.

ACTIVITY: STORY TELLING

गतिविधि प्रतिवेदन – कहानी सुनाने की प्रतियोगिता

पीएम श्री रीडिंग प्रमोशन वीक के अंतर्गत विद्यालय में विद्यार्थियों के लिए कहानी सुनाने की प्रतियोगिता का सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में पठन-पाठन के प्रति रुचि विकसित करना, आत्मविश्वास बढ़ाना, भाषा कौशल का विकास करना तथा नैतिक एवं देशभक्ति की भावना को प्रोत्साहित करना था।

प्रतियोगिता में विद्यार्थियों ने देशभक्ति, स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों तथा प्रेरणादायक विषयों पर आधारित कहानियाँ प्रभावशाली ढंग से प्रस्तुत कीं। अनेक विद्यार्थियों ने अपनी प्रस्तुति को आकर्षक बनाने के लिए रचनात्मक प्रॉप्स का भी उपयोग किया। निर्णायकों द्वारा विद्यार्थियों का मूल्यांकन प्रस्तुतीकरण, कहानी की विषय-वस्तु, आत्मविश्वास, प्रॉप्स के उपयोग तथा प्रस्तुति की मौलिकता के आधार पर किया गया।

इस गतिविधि के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों में पढ़ने की आदत, प्रभावी अभिव्यक्ति, मंच संचालन कौशल एवं रचनात्मक सोच का विकास हुआ। प्रतियोगिता का समापन प्रतिभागियों के उत्साहवर्धन एवं सराहना के साथ किया गया।
